Alien Sex Fiend was formed in 1982 in London’s famous Bat Cave by Nik Wade (Nik Fiend), Chrissie Wade (Mrs Fiend), David James (Yaxi Highrizer) and Johnny Freshwater (Johnny Ha-Ha). Combining dark, electronic industrial sounds, loops, samples and frenzied vocals, the band were mainstays in the burgeoning gothic scene.
Nik had previously been a member of the Alice Cooper-influenced bands The Earwigs and Mr. & Mrs. Demeanour, and later the punk band Demon Preachers (later known as The Demons).
